Gregg Schoppman
Principal and Florida Consulting Manager
FMI

As a principal with FMI, Gregg specializes in the areas of productivity and project management. He also leads FMI’s project management consulting practice and leads the consulting management group of FMI’s Florida office. Prior to joining FMI, Gregg served as a senior project manager for a general contracting firm in central Florida and has completed complex and sophisticated construction projects in several different geographic markets. He has experience as a construction manager including managing direct labor along with expertise in numerous contract delivery methods.

He has been a guest speaker for the ABC, AGC, IFMA, DBIA, NECA and CFMA. He has been the Gulf Coast Director of the Design Build Institute of America function and regularly speaks to students in the civil engineering graduate school program at the University of Florida.

Gregg holds a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Florida, and a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in international business from the University of Tampa.



John C. Pistorino, P.E.

John has over 40 years of diversified work in Code Compliance, Residential Design & Construction, High Rise Condominiums, Highways, Bridges, Building Renovations, and Construction Administration. He is a practicing structural and civil engineer and is president of Pistorino and Alam Consulting Engineers Inc., a leading architectural, structural, and civil engineering firm in South Florida.

He was the original designer of portions of I-95, I-10, and I-75, and provided construction engineering and inspection (CEI) services for the construction of portions Miami-Dade Transit’s Metrorail System. His experience includes parking garage design, transportation systems, CEI including heavy rail and bridge construction, building exterior envelope waterproofing, roofing design and inspections, civil engineering including lift stations, water and sewer systems, drainage, roadway, and parking designs.


Bob Payn
Senior Director, Information Technology
National Institute of Building Sciences (NIBS)

Bob is a service-oriented federal government consultant and association professional in the built environment with 26 years of experience in strategic business development, agency-industry coalition building, results-driven project management, online information services, data analytics, comprehensive IT infrastructure, and facility security protocols.. He is Sr. Director of Information Technology at NIBS ( www.nibs.org ) and responsible for its tactical technology planning, network/cloud environments, website management, IT policy implementation and overall facility security. Bob has been the developer of the WBDG-Whole Building Design Guide (www.wbdg.org) for 20 years and overall project manager for 5 years, a project supported by multiple agencies and experts as a key portal to ‘whole building’ technology and federal guidance. His professional experience is focused on information management, data architecture, and online services particularly related to federal facility criteria and program data. He earned a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Southern Mississippi.


Dave Evans
Director of QP and Coatings Credentialing
AMPP

Dave currently manages the QP accreditation and coatings credentialing for AMPP and has been an instructor for NACE and AMPP for over 30 years teaching protective coatings and linings, basic corrosion, project management, and coatings inspection. Dave holds a BBA from Western Michigan University, and an MBA from Lindenwood University. He has deep experience in the coatings industry including being Director of Sales for Carboline for 15 years, a Sales Director at Jotun, a Vice President at Rudd Company, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Forrest Technical Coatings.
