The MPI Champion Program celebrates the industry's best by recognizing paint and coatings manufacturers who set the standard in product performance, sustainability, education, and commitment. These champions demonstrate outstanding contributions to advancing coatings technology, training, and environmental responsibility.
Champions are announced December of the previous year and are selected based on their APL performance listings, number of students in MPI training programs, or overall adoption of MPI programs, listings, subscriptions, and promotions.
Champion Criteria:
The MPI Green Performance Champion is determined by comparing the ratio of X-Green listings to the total number of listings in categories that have X-Green certification available.
The MPI Performance Champions are determined by comparing the number of listed products across all categories, as well as consideration to the number of categories with products in them. The top three are chosen, in no particular order, as recipients of this award.
The MPI Coatings Education Champion is determined by the number of students from a particular manufacturer that pass an MPI Training course in the given year.
The MPI Commitment Champion looks at overall commitment to performance, education, promotion and dedication to quality.
