Pigmented or opaque coatings consist of small solid particles of natural or synthetic, inorganic or organic, generally insoluble material that when dispersed in a liquid vehicle to make paint, provide such properties as color, opacity, hardness, sanding properties, gloss control and corrosion resistance.
